The Swing Sensei

The Swing Sensei ("the App") is a golf swing analysis app that processes video entirely on your device. We use a small amount of anonymous product analytics to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any data that personally identifies you.
Everything related to your actual golf swings stays on your iPhone:
This data never leaves your device. You can delete all of it at any time through the App's Profile settings, or by deleting the App.
To understand how people use the App so we can improve it, we collect anonymous event data using PostHog, a third-party analytics service. This data is tied to a randomly generated identifier (a UUID) that is created on first launch and stored on your device. We do not have any way to link this identifier back to your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information — because we never collect any of those.
Events we record include things like: when an analysis completes, when a drill video is played, when the paywall appears, when a purchase succeeds or fails, when a badge is unlocked, and when a streak milestone is hit. These events may include non-identifying properties such as your swing score, the club selected, your current streak length, or whether you are a premium subscriber.
What we do NOT collect:
If you'd prefer that no anonymous analytics data is collected from your usage, email us at theswingsensei@gmail.com and we'll delete all event data tied to your device's identifier. Note that the App will continue to work normally either way.
The App requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select golf swing videos for analysis. Selected videos are processed on-device and are not uploaded, copied, or shared. The App does not modify your photo library.
If you grant notification permission, the App sends you local reminders — for example, a daily drill suggestion or a streak reminder. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. We do not run a push notification server and we do not have a list of your device's push token.
The App uses the following third-party services:
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID account. The App does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. We do record an anonymous event noting that a purchase took place (with the plan name and price) for revenue analytics, but never anything tied to your identity.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
